FMCG Stock Manager: Kuils River Western Cape

Our client offers a monthly salary of up to R40 000 ctc pm, slightly negotiable. Pension fund will be deducted.

Purpose of the role:

Coordinating and managing the Inventory Team to assist in the management of stock levels to ensure availability of required products. Execute Inventory analysis and proper use of the Warehouse Management system to ensure effective and efficient management of inventory. Drive compliance to company procedures affecting stock levels.

Desired experience and qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics (B. com or diploma) will be beneficial
  • Minimum of 5 years’ recent experience in a FMCG environment.
  • WMS (Warehouse Management system) experience essential.
  • Sage X3 experience advantageous.

Main outputs and responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies for the optimization of inventory control processes while taking warehouse flow into account.
  • Coordinating and managing the Inventory Team to assist in the management of stock levels to ensure availability of required products.
  • Keep track of inventory flow to identify dead or slow-moving stock in terms of Pareto analysis with assistance from Central Planning.
  • Optimize Warehouse Management System to reduce risk of product theft, unaccountable stock losses and damages.
  • Responsible for directing, supervising, and assigning of work duties to the Inventory Team to ensure set objectives are achieved.
  • Management of inventory functions across multiple locations.
  • Manage and control daily cycle counts and planned wall to wall counts in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedures.
  • Ensure suppliers are managed to deliver against orders in full and delivery windows are met with the use of Yard Management.
  • Ensure best operating practices are implemented across all inventory processes and functions.
  • Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved.
  • Ensure master data integrity is maintained in the Warehouse Management System.
  • Ensure the Inventory team meets their daily, weekly and monthly duties in terms of counts, open purchase order management, goods in transit accounts, AP Risk list and reconciliations of accounts affecting Inventory.
  • Actively drive stock file accuracy between ERP and WMS and highlight operational issues affecting the stock file accuracy.
  • Manage and report on Brand and Marketing write off’s as well as damages and donations as it occurs in accordance with company policies and procedures.
