Perform the full function of a Fitter in the Maintenance department.

FMCG Environment

Minimum Requirements:

N4 Certificate as well as Mechanical Trade test certificate (Fitter)

Preferably five (5) years post trade experience as a Fitter and Turner

Must be able to read, write and speak English and Afrikaans

Sound knowledge of mechanical and maintenance equipment in an FMCG environment

Sound mechanical and maintenance skills

Well experienced in Environmental, Health & Safety and statutory compliance in an FMCG environment

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and to carry out fabrications from drawings

Duties & Responsibilities

Carry out planned mechanical maintenance and repairs.

Diagnose faults on plant and equipment to determine the faults and carry out repairs required.

Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment.

Assist units with maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health Safety act.

Provide technical support to all staff.

Theatre Registered Nurse: Kimberley Northern Cape

The salary is negotiable depending on experience, plus Pension, Medical and 13th Cheque

Minimum Requirements:

Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse

Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in the Theatre as a Scrub or Recovery Nurse

Advanced Computer Literacy

Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation

Flexible in working shifts (as and when required)

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities

In conjunction with the Unit manager be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of theatre teams, effectively motivating, and directing staff to ensure that time and resources are managed through effective teamwork

To deputise for the Unit manager when necessary

To assist the Unit Manager in the management of staff within their Unit including specific induction, recruitment and selection, training, performance management, sickness/ absence and appraisals.

ICU Trained Nurse: Kimberley Northern Cape

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience (Plus Pension, Medical and 13th Cheque)

Desired experience and qualifications:

Registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse

Relevant post basic ICU/Critical Care Qualification

Advanced Computer Literacy

HSE Officer: Kimberley (Northern Cape)

Industry: FMCG

Salary: R15 000 – R18 000 Basic, plus 7.5% Provident Fund

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12/ Matric
  • SAMTRAC or equivalent Health and Safety Qualification
  • 2 Year of working experience as a Health and Safety officer within the FMCG sector.
  • Computer literate (Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Outlook, PowerPoint) 
  • Occupational Health and Safety functions.
  • Verbal and written communication must be good.
  • Valid Driver’s License and own reliable vehicle.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist HSE Manager

  • Implement HSE procedures.
  • Implement controls.

Hazard Identification

  • Compile and distribute hazard identification (HI) forms for all identified hazards and NCRs.
  • Collect, save, and capture all HI forms on the HI register.
  • General hazard identification.

Incidents

  • Conduct preliminary incident investigations.
  • Compile and distribute prevention/correction measures identified during investigations.
  • Follow up on incidents.

Inspections

  • Complete inspections according to the inspection register.
  • Submit completed inspections to the HSE manager for comments.
  • Implement any corrections/preventions suggested in the incident investigation reports.

Contractors

  • Monitor contractors on site (safety files).
  • Monitor contractors’ compliance with safety requirements.
  • Issue and update contractors’ cards.

Training

  • Distribute and collect toolbox talks (at least one per week per department).
  • Distribute and collect job observations (one per month per department).
  • Update external HSE training register and monitor expiry dates.
  • Monitor and update appointment documents and register.
  • Distribute and collect post-training observations.
  • Conduct training with managers and supervisors as needed.

Environment

  • Distribute and collect waste monitoring sheets.
  • Assist with the effluent sampling process.

Health

  • Assist with annual medical coordination.

General

  • Contact internal audits.
  • Coordinate workflow documents
  • Document issuing and filing
  • Data capturing
  • Accompany HSE visitors on site
  • Submit payroll changes, sheets, and ERS
