Desired experience and qualifications:
- Matric
- Qualified Millwright (Red Seal certificate)
- Experience in a FMCG Production environment
- Minimum of 3 years of Millwright experience
- Experience working on Latch Machines is beneficial
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment, including alignment, levelling, and calibration.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement corrective actions to ensure efficient operation.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimise breakdowns.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for installation and repairs.
- Fabricate and assemble machine components, including welding, cutting, and machining where required.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with engineers, tradespeople, and management on maintenance and installation projects.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and work completed.
- Train and mentor apprentices or junior staff on procedures, safety, and equipment use.
- Stay updated with industry developments to improve skills and operational efficiency.
