Salary: Will be determined by experience, plus company contribution to medical aid and pension fund.
Purpose of the role:
Responsible for the overall management of 15–20 corporate buildings within the Cape Town region, including oversight of maintenance operations.
Desired experience and qualifications:
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification in Property Facilities, or Property Operations, or Property Management.
- Technical qualification advantageous.
- Min 3 years’ experience in corporate building management.
- Budget-planning experience.
- Maintenance planning, scheduling, and financial administration experience.
- Must be able to interpret financial statements and forecasting.
- Understanding and experience of soft services – handling cleaners, garden services
- Have technical knowledge as well as compliance knowledge
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant property management software.
- Willing to travel and sleep out.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Conduct annual and bi-annual building audits, inspections, and tenders.
- Manage budgets, service contracts, and major capital expenses.
- Investigate new products and technologies to improve quality and reduce costs.
- Supervise onsite building staff and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Approve contractor work and invoices, and resolve tenant complaints.
- Compile reports for senior management and attend portfolio meetings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement, and safety standards.
