Job Purpose:
To monitor and maintain food quality and safety standards throughout the production process, ensuring that all products comply with internal specifications, HACCP principles, and relevant food safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification as a Food Technologist or related qualification in Food Science / Food Technology
- HACCP certification (recent and valid – essential)
- Knowledge of GFSI standards and basic understanding of food fraud prevention
- Health & Safety qualification will be an advantage
- Previous experience in a food production / FMCG environment preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products
- Ensure compliance with HACCP food safety standards
- Monitor production processes to ensure product consistency and quality
- Identify and report deviations, non-conformances, and quality issues
- Maintain accurate quality control records and documentation
- Assist in internal audits and external inspections
- Ensure hygiene and sanitation standards are maintained on the production floor
- Support implementation of corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
- Assist in training staff on basic food safety and hygiene practices
