Starting Salary:
R35 000 – R40 000 per month + company car, laptop, fuel, & cellphone
Desired experience and qualifications:
- BSc in Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Science, Agriculture, or related field (non-negotiable).
- 3–5 years practical, field-based agronomy experience.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (non-negotiable).
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively across Mpumalanga.
- Hands-on, field-oriented, and confident presenting to farmers and sales teams.
Duties & Responsibilities will include:
- Provide agronomic support to Technical Sales Representatives and clients through regular on-farm visits (3–4 days/week).
- Deliver expert advice on crop nutrition, soil management, and fertilisation strategies.
- Interpret soil and plant tissue analyses and develop tailored fertilisation programmes.
- Identify and troubleshoot crop issues, including nutrient deficiencies and environmental stress factors.
- Assist with field trials, demonstrations, and upskilling of sales teams.
- Work across row crops (maize, wheat, soybeans) and high-value crops (fruits and vegetables).
