Salary: Will be determined by experience, plus company contribution to medical aid and pension fund.
Desired experience and qualification:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Relevant Diploma or Degree (advantageous)
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in retail centre or property management
- Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours when required
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Conduct daily centre inspections and ensure overall operational standards are maintained
- Manage tenant relationships and address any issues proactively
- Oversee on-site staff and service providers
- Maintain accurate records including OHS compliance, asset registers, tenant documentation, and maintenance logs
- Monitor tenant turnover and performance
- Ensure all financial and administrative processes are completed accurately and on time
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and economic factors impacting the centre
- Build and maintain relationships with local authorities and stakeholders
- Implement and manage planned maintenance programmes
- Oversee general maintenance including lighting, roofing, plumbing, air conditioning, and facilities
- Ensure all maintenance activities are tracked and recorded
- Manage service contractors and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the centre
- Source and secure new tenants to fill vacancies
- Negotiate lease agreements and renewals within approved parameters
