Road Accident Fund Litigation / Legal Secretary: Bloemfontein, Free State
Salary: R22 000 – R25 000 ctc pm
Desired experience and qualifications:
- Road Accident Fund (RAF) experience
- Experience with all aspects of RAF litigation, from lodging claims through to trial preparation
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Court Online experience will be advantageous
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (written & verbal)
- Experience coordinating medico-legal reports, including:
Arranging expert assessments
Following up on reports
Serving and filing reports
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Manage Road Accident Fund (RAF) litigation files from inception to finalisation
- Lodge RAF claims and prepare litigation documentation
- Coordinate medico-legal assessments with experts
- Follow up on outstanding medico-legal reports
- Serve and file court documents
- Prepare trial bundles and assist with trial preparation
- Arrange expert witnesses and trial attendance
- Manage court deadlines and diary appointments
- Liaise with clients, advocates, experts and the courts
- Ensure matters progress efficiently and timeously
