Salary: Will be determined by experience, minus contribution to medical aid and pension fund.
Desired experience and qualifications:
- Matric is essential.
- Additional training in maintenance or infrastructure management will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant maintenance experience.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and occupational health and safety procedures.
- Experience in plumbing and electrical-related maintenance.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to complete maintenance records and work orders.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Performing general building maintenance, inspections and repairs.
- Attending to basic plumbing, electrical and lighting issues.
- Identifying faults and reporting maintenance issues requiring specialist attention.
- Responding to maintenance requests and completing work orders.
- Maintaining maintenance records, tools and stock.
- Assisting with tenant inspections, installations and move-ins.
- Communicating with tenants, management and service providers.
- Ensuring the premises are clean, safe and well maintained.
- Conducting fire safety checks and complying with health and safety regulations.
- Performing other maintenance-related duties as required.
