Salary: R35 000 pm plus medical and pension benefits

Requirements:

  • A relevant nursing qualification (B Cur Degree with relevant management qualification)
  • Critical Nursing science qualification
  • Registration with SANC and Clinical Facilitator
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as Qualified ICU registered nurse
  • An advantage will be proof of experience in ICU Facilitation/ Training
  • Assessor and Moderator trained
  • BLS Instructor
  • Clinical expertise within your specialty
  • Advanced Computer literacy

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Active involvement in research and development activities to discover new knowledge about products, processes, and services and the applying that knowledge to create new and improved products, processes, and services that meet the academic market needs.
  • Plan, draw and coordinate training and development calendars.
  • Facilitate the marking of case studies and assignments.
  • Keep accurate employee clinical records
  • Plan, organize and ensure active involvement in the process of all academic related projects.
  • Facilitate the clinical learning process by understanding, applying and maintaining adult learning methodologies.

ICU UNIT MANAGER: JOHANNESBURG

Requirements:

  • A relevant nursing qualification (B Cur Degree with relevant management qualification)
  • Registration with SANC and additional qualification in ICU Nursing
  • Must have 5 years Unit Manager experience
  • Compliance with the SANC Code for Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations
  • Compulsory BLS Certification
  • Advanced Computer literacy

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that your unit is providing safe, cost-effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of the hospital and evidence-based practice.
  • Evaluate the patient`s journey via patient experience and stakeholder contribution.
  • Evaluate and monitor nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care.
  • Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees.
  • Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions and adhere to.
  • Implement group quality initiatives.
  • Liaise with public liability with regard to all incidents of potential risk to the business.

Enrolled Nurse: Cath Lab (Kimberley)
  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse

Research Nurse / Registered Nurse: Bloemfontein

Clinical Research

Requirements:

  • Preference will be given to Equity EE/AA candidates 
  • Computer literate: MS Excel & MS Word & Outlook 
  • Relevant Qualification to position: Degree or Diploma in Nursing
  • 2-3 Years’ experience working as a Research Nurse (will be beneficial)
  • Driver’s License with own reliable vehicle

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Submission of the relevant study documents e.g., Informed Consent forms to the regulatory authorities
  • Working with clinical research associates when they come for clinic/study monitoring
  • Ensure that patients have all the necessary information to allow them to make an informed decision whether they want to participate in clinical study.
  • Ensuring that patients give full informed consent before they enrolled in a study.
  • Providing on-going support to patients throughout their time as participants.
  • Supporting the Principal Investigator (PI) by coordinating the day-to-day management of research studies.
  • Maintenance of Investigators Site Files
  • Developing study trackers to track the progress of the study
  • Submitting half yearly reports to the regulatory authorities
  • Perform procedures on participants e.g., blood collection, informed consent process, pre and post-test counselling.
  • Recruitment of participants into the studies according to inclusion and exclusion criteria for the particular study.
  • Working together with the team on relevant strategies to meet the recruitment target for the study.
  • Set up meetings on fortnight basis to give report on challenges and highlights for the studies.
  • Identifying and screening potential candidates.
