Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Relevant Short-Term Insurance qualification will be advantageous.
- RE5 qualification will be advantageous.
- Class of Business completed (preferred).
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in Short-Term Insurance Claims.
- Experience with Commercial, Fleet, Heavy Commercial Vehicles and Goods in Transit (GIT) claims is essential.
- Knowledge of transport insurance policies and claims procedures.
- Computer literate (MS Office).
- Excellent administration and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process and manage short-term insurance claims, including Goods in Transit (GIT) claims, from start to finalisation.
- Liaise with clients, insurers, brokers, assessors, transport companies and service providers.
- Gather, verify and process all claim documentation.
- Follow up on outstanding claims and provide regular client feedback.
- Maintain accurate claim records and update internal systems.
- Investigate and resolve claim queries efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with insurer requirements, company procedures and policy terms.
- Deliver professional, efficient customer service throughout the claims process.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and legislative changes.
