Job Purpose:
To support the Branch Manager in the daily operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient stock control, and the achievement of sales targets.
Salary: R15 000 – R25 000 CTC p/m (Depending on experience)
Benefits: Pension fund applicable after 5 months of employment, plus 13th check
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- 2–5 years’ experience in a retail or hardware environment
- Previous supervisory or assistant management experience
- Retail experience will also be beneficial
- Computer literate with general software knowledge
- Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans – speak, read, and write)
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
- Willing to work Saturdays (07:25 – 13:10)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day-to-day management of the store
- Support and supervise staff to ensure productivity and good customer service
- Drive sales and ensure targets are met
- Assist customers with product advice and queries
- Ensure shelves are well stocked, merchandised, and presentable
- Manage stock control, stock takes, and ordering of stock
- Handle cash-ups and basic financial controls
- Assist with staff scheduling and performance management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards
- Step in for the Manager when required
