Position Overview:

Our client in the Automotive Paint Industry is looking for a tech-savvy and customer-focused individual to join their team as an IT Support Technician – Automotive Paint Systems. This role involves providing on-site technical support, training, and troubleshooting related to paint mixing systems, software, and connected devices used in panel shops. Candidates with experience in the automotive paint environment will have a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain automotive paint mixing software and hardware
• Provide on-site and remote IT support to clients using the paint systems
• Assist with software updates, system backups, and calibration
• Train clients on the correct use of the paint system interface and reporting tools
• Troubleshoot technical issues with network connections, scales, and printers
• Document support visits, client concerns, and technical resolutions
• Work closely with paint technicians and sales teams to ensure seamless system use
• Travel to customer sites across various regions as needed
• Provide feedback to developers/vendors regarding recurring system issues or enhancements
• Adhere to all other tasks given through by management

Minimum Requirements:

• Basic to advanced IT skills (hardware/software/networking)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Fluent in English & Afrikaans, (Speak, Read and Write)
• Valid Driver’s License and own reliable vehicle
• Excellent communication skills and a professional client-facing approach
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Well-organized, proactive, and client-focused
