Position Overview:
Our client in the Automotive Paint industry is seeking a dynamic and technically skilled individual to join their team as a Training Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site training, demonstrations, and technical support to clients on a range of paint-related consumables, including abrasives, masking materials, sealants, applicators, and related products. The focus is on enhancing product knowledge, application techniques, and overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical training and product demonstrations to clients
- Provide on-site and remote support to ensure proper usage of consumables
- Assist customers with troubleshooting product application issues
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of paint systems and supporting consumables
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate product solutions
- Collaborate with the sales team to grow product usage and awareness
- Provide feedback to product teams based on customer experience and challenges
- Keep accurate records of visits, training sessions, and customer feedback
- Attend trade shows, expos, or industry events when needed
- Adhere to all other tasks given through by management
Minimum Requirements:
- Technical qualification in Automotive Spray Painting or related field is an advantage
- 3+ years’ experience in the automotive paint or panel beating industry
- Strong technical knowledge of paint processes and related consumables
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Confidence in leading training sessions for groups or one-on-one
- Valid Driver’s License and own reliable vehicle
- Fluent in English & Afrikaans, a third language will be beneficial (Speak, Read and Write)
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Customer-focused with a proactive problem-solving attitude
- Well-organized, proactive, and client-focused
- Understanding of body shop workflows and repair standards
