Fixed term position till May 2029.
Our client offers a salary of R30 000 – R35 000 ctc pm, unfortunately for this position no additional benefits.
6 months’ probation period.
Desired experience and qualifications:
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent
- Accredited course in social media and communication
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing social media for brands
- Relevant experience with proofreading provincial languages
- Experience in Graphic Art/Design, use of Adobe In-Design, Photoshop advantageous
- Proficiency in English and one other provincial language
- Computer literacy, particularly MS Office suite, Zoom
- Information system and technology skills at intermediate level
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work in line with specific standards
- Ability to work independently
- Strong coordination, muti-tasking and time management skills
- Systematic, comprehensive, and displaying excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of the local, provincial and national political environment and dynamics
- Commitment to the principles, policies, and programme of action of the Democratic Alliance
- Willingness to walk the extra mile and offer support beyond the day-to-day duties
- Valid driver’s licence – a non-negotiable requirement.
- Own reliable and insured vehicle.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with implementing the company’s direct marketing objectives.
- Ensuring the company is responsive to cleints on all social media and any other relevant channels.
- Developing an expert understanding of audience targeting in terms of online, direct and social media advertising as well as organic content sharing.
- Ensuring that all content shared is of utmost quality and beyond reproach in terms of grammar, factual accuracy, strategic relevance and brand identity.
- Conceptualising and writing copy for a range of marketing deliverables including graphics for social media, marketing emails and longer form booklets.
- Proofreading all marketing content before publication to ensure a professional end-product.
