Our client is a leading supplier of high-performance abrasive solutions to the automotive, industrial, and manufacturing sectors. They are seeking a dynamic and target-driven Abrasive Sales Representative to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of abrasives, a passion for sales, and a proven track record of building strong client relationships.
Salary:
Market-related salary + Commission + Benefits (to be discussed during interview)
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum 2–3 years of sales experience in abrasives, automotive refinishing, or related technical sales (Non-negotiable)
- Technical knowledge of abrasive products and their applications (preferred)
- Automotive paint knowledge is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems
- Must be prepared to carry out demo’s (hands on)
- Fluent in English & Afrikaans (Speak, Write and Read)
- Open to regular traveling and sleep outs.
- Areas travel to: Free State, Northern Cape, Part of North West
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain current clients and grow the customer base through prospecting, cold calling, and on-site client visits.
- Promote and sell abrasive products and solutions to new and existing clients.
- Identify customer needs and provide expert technical advice on product selection and application.
- Prepare and present quotations and follow up on orders.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Conduct hands-on/practical product demonstrations and training sessions where required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, competitors, and market trends.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities and customer feedback.
