Fixed term position till May 2029.

Our client offers a salary of R30 000 – R35 000 ctc pm, unfortunately for this position no additional benefits.

6 months’ probation period.

Desired experience and qualifications:

National Senior Certificate or equivalent

Accredited course in social media and communication

Minimum 3 years’ experience managing social media for brands

Relevant experience with proofreading provincial languages

Experience in Graphic Art/Design, use of Adobe In-Design, Photoshop advantageous

Proficiency in English and one other provincial language

Computer literacy, particularly MS Office suite, Zoom 

Information system and technology skills at intermediate level

Excellent communication skills 

Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work in line with specific standards

Ability to work independently

Strong coordination, muti-tasking and time management skills

Systematic, comprehensive, and displaying excellent attention to detail

Knowledge of the local, provincial and national political environment and dynamics

Commitment to the principles, policies, and programme of action of the Democratic Alliance

Willingness to walk the extra mile and offer support beyond the day-to-day duties

Valid driver’s licence – a non-negotiable requirement.

Own reliable and insured vehicle.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Assisting with implementing the company’s direct marketing objectives.

Ensuring the company is responsive to cleints on all social media and any other relevant channels.

Developing an expert understanding of audience targeting in terms of online, direct and social media advertising as well as organic content sharing.

Ensuring that all content shared is of utmost quality and beyond reproach in terms of grammar, factual accuracy, strategic relevance and brand identity.

Conceptualising and writing copy for a range of marketing deliverables including graphics for social media, marketing emails and longer form booklets.

Proofreading all marketing content before publication to ensure a professional end-product.
